Counted Canvaswork
with Sue Hawkins

5th - 7th April 2019
Highfield Park

6th - 8th Sept. 2019
Moor Hall

Forget acres of boring tent stitch, this is something else. A rich mix of colour and range of different stitches carefully counted onto canvas from a chart, combine to make exquisite needleworkers’ accessories. These are interesting and individual projects perfectly suited to those quiet moments in life that are stolen from the day
to day hustle or maybe to fill a quiet time while you are
on holiday. They make perfect gifts if you can bear to give them away! You will learn how to count stitches
onto canvas and how to make up the pieces with lots of helpful tips along the way. There will be a wide choice
of designs to choose a project from for the class and plenty more to buy if you enjoy the stitching. Sue’s unique ‘Elizabethan’ upholstered embroidery frames will be available for you to try over the weekend.

Sue is the author of several needlework books and sells her own ‘Needleworks’ kits at many of the Needlework shows around the country.
